deckle edge paper
Deckle edge is defined as the rough untrimmed edge of paper left by the deckle, the wooden frame, used in the handmade paper-making process. The deckle edge is created when bits of paper pulp inevitably squeeze between the meeting point of the deckle and the screen which are used in conjunction to scoop up the suspended paper pulp from a vat of water - creating perfectly sized sheets of paper with a true full deckle edge. I source all of my handmade 100% cotton paper from Porridge Papers. Below are the colors they currently offer.

double thick 100% cotton paper
Double thick cotton cardstock is perfect for creating a deep luxurious impression. For square-cut cards and invitations, I use Flurry cotton paper which is specifically designed for letterpress printing. Flurry papers have an even formation and sizing to accept letterpress inks evenly, producing better ink coverage than other cotton papers. Flurry comes in three shades; Bright White, White, and Soft White.
